It is uncommon to practice (or even imagine) ink painting with a mouse and technology, but Hong Kong artist Wong Chung-yu has developed a painting software “Pure Ink” that allows users to make ink art on a digital platform. In 2024, the software was the Winner of iF Design Award, and it is free for download in the public domain. We are excited to have invited the artist to give us an exclusive 2.5hr session, sharing his experience in developing “Pure Ink” and teaching participants how to make digital ink art with this very programme.
