Next in our 2023 summer workshop series is an outing to Aberdeen. The session will start with a 30min  sampan ride at Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter, seeing the historical Tai Pak floating restaurant and other landmarks around the area. Together on board with us is artist Shum Kwan Yi, Sim, who is famous for her studies on local outer islands and ink art featuring all kinds of ships. She will be sharing her experience and thoughts on those amazing floating vessels, and participants may take the time to gather visual materials for the following workshop. The 2hr ink painting workshop will take place at Fisherman's Wharf. Participants will receive step-by-step guidance from Shum to make a seascape in ink, and at the end, everyone can bring this unique souvenir home!
